Opening Night

Opening night is our most in demand screening! Ticket sales are limited so please purchase early. All pass holders will receive an RSVP email from our box office to secure their spot. If you do not receive an email or have not RSVP'd by March 20th, please contact the Box Office and Customer Support Manager directly about seating availability: boxoffice@annapolisfilmfestival.com. Please note that this RSVP request only applies to Opening Night. You do not need to RSVP for additional films, panels, or programs. (All seating is General Admission. All Access passholders will be allowed entry first to choose their seat. This RSVP does not entitle you to a “reserved seat” inside of the auditorium. The RSVP system is AFF’S internal tracking to ensure that all pass holders have the opportunity to utilize their pass benefit of attending the Opening Night film. Seating will be general admission once inside the auditorium. If you do not RSVP, there is no guarantee that you will be entitled to a seat at the event.)

For Opening Night, doors will open 45 minutes prior to scheduled program start time for priority pass holder seating. 30 minutes prior to scheduled programmed start time, festival passholders will be invited to sit. Once all on-time, in-line, general pass holders have been seated, we will open the auditorium to general ticket holders. 15 minutes prior to scheduled program start time, we will open up day-of, cash only, rush ticket sales for purchase, space permitting. Each year, some people gain entry from the RUSH line if passholders do not show up on time. Your RSVP for Opening Night is not guaranteed if you arrive post the 15-minute scheduled program start time.

Anyone with a pass or ticket can see the filmmakers and celebs walk the carpet on the way to the theater. Please remember that even with an RSVP, you must follow the 30-minute rule for seating. Cameras and recording devices are allowed on the Red Carpet, however their use is not permitted inside the theater. If you are an All Access, Premium, Industry or Filmmaker Pass Holder and you are not able to pick up your pass prior to the showing, a list will be available at the door. Please call our main festival line at 410-263-3444 to plan ahead.

IMPORTANT - If you are later than 15 minutes prior to the screening, you must get in the general admission line.

Plan to make sure you have enough time to travel between venues. Most venues are within walking-distance, and the Purple City buses will travel between all five screening locations. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before each screening begins. Lines will be divided into festival passes and pre-paid ticket holders in one line, and All Access & Premium (GOLD & SILVER) passes in the other.  Those using priority seating and priority line must arrive 15 minutes early or they will have to join the general line to be seated. Seating for All Access pass holders is reserved in sections, for all others it is general admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Space permitting, Day-of Rush Line tickets are cash-only and may be purchased at each venue and provide a last minute chance to attend any screening. Festival Passes ($195), Student Passes ($100), and Shorts Passes ($100) can only be purchased at Ticket and Pass Central in Room 203 “The Community Room” at 801 Chase Street – inside Maryland Hall.
