Michelle M. Burke is a Certified Public Accountant and business advisor who brings over three decades of finance leadership to the Annapolis Film Festival. She spent 15 years in Big Four public accounting and another 15 years in corporate roles, including leading tax for a $2B global company—experience that grounds her practical, transparent approach to nonprofit stewardship.
Michelle is the founder and CEO of Health & Taxes LLC, where she helps woman entrepreneurs build healthier, more profitable businesses by demystifying the numbers and improving financial operations. Her work centers on clarity, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
At AFF, Michelle oversees budgeting, reporting, and internal controls, and partners with the board to align financial strategy with the Festival’s mission and growth.
A proud member of the Annapolis community, Michelle believes in the power of film to connect voices and spark conversation. She’s honored to serve as Treasurer and support AFF’s artistic vibrancy with strong fiscal governance. She enjoys sailing in the Chesapeake Bay, attending an AFS screening, and watching hockey with her husband.
