Debbie Dorsey

After graduating from Towson University and traveling throughout Europe, Debbie began a career that blends her passion for travel, photography, and people. For more than 30 years, she has worked across Maryland’s film industry, beginning as a Location Manager on projects such as Avalon, Serial Mom, Homicide: Life on the Street, Home for the Holidays, and Washington Square.

Debbie later served over 18 years as Director of the Baltimore Film Office, where she promoted Baltimore’s architecture, culture, and welcoming spirit to filmmakers from around the world and supported major productions throughout the region. As a founding officer of the Maryland Film Industry Coalition, she continues to collaborate with state leaders to strengthen business conditions for film production in Maryland.

Her leadership and advocacy have earned her the Nora Roberts Foundation Award and the Maryland Film Industry Coalition Award for outstanding contributions to the state’s film community.
