The International Film Festival Submission System

Annapolis Film Festival prefers paperless entries submitted via The International Film Festival Submission System (BrigitFest) – on the Web at Withoutabox.com.

Withoutabox provides cost-saving, online entry to major film festivals throughout the U.S. and in Europe with one master entry form, allowing you and us to enter your film more quickly and with greater accuracy. This method is free and easy.

Members who choose to join Withoutabox also get $5.00 off their Entry Fees, plus the advantages of Extended deadlines and Online Press Kit submissions.

Entry Regulations Competition is open to U.S. and International entries. Entries must be submitted on VHS videocassette or DVD for pre-screening. and must be NTSC. 

Entries must have been completed after October 1, 2004. No repeat entries. Send entries in sturdy, reusable containers or bubble wrap envelopes. There is no limit to the number of entries.

If chosen for competition, all screening prints must be submitted on 35mm, Beta-NTSC, Mini DV or DVD for festival screening. We regret that we are unable to screen PAL video.

Please indicate on your entry title, director, contact information, total running time and the screening format (35mm, Beta, Mini DV or DVD). Include Withoutabox number if you use WAB for submission.

Liability Although every possible care will be taken with tapes and films while in our possession, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage. Do not send original prints or tapes. Notification of acceptance into the festival will be made by Friday, September 10, 2006 . Please keep the festival notified of any address/phone changes.

Reproduction Agreement Submission of an entry gives the festival permission to have accepted work photographed, locally telecast, and reproduced, either in part or whole, for educational or publicity purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing by the filmmaker.

 

All of the following must accompany entry to be considered for the Festival:

  • Entry fee (credit card, check or money order in U.S. funds made payable to the Annapolis Film Festival)
  • Official entry form, completed and signed
  • 50 words or less synopsis of entry (VERY IMPORTANT) and filmmaker bio.

The following items are optional:

  • Still photos (non-returnable)
  • Self-addressed, stamped postcard for notification of receipt of entry.
