Mercy Street, a South Central Los Angeles neighborhood, where the community strives to give their children a shot at a better life amidst the harrowing challenges of the urban jungle.
Ellijah, Emily and Julius all have their departures carefully planned until a devastating event during a solar eclipse disrupts their world and leaves the young people reeling. The struggle to pick up the pieces of their lives questioning their beliefs, friendhsips and responsibilities as they cross the threshold into adulthood.Filmed on location in South Central 'Mercy Street' is a poignant, unique and thoughtful coming of age drama about growing up in the suffocating inner city and trying to make the right choices. It is a compassionate and hopeful story inviting the audience to look at the human side beyond the violence of the inner city.
